
Sri Vijaya Puram Aug 20: The District Advisory Committee Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, District Magistrate, North & Middle Andaman, with MY Bharat as the coordinating organization. Mr. Deepak Kumar, Member Secretary, conducted the proceedings.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), District Education Officer, Lead Bank Manager, Cultural Officer, Public and Social Welfare Officers, and representatives from various line departments and stakeholder organizations.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome to the District Magistrate. Addressing the Committee, Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, highlighted the objectives and initiatives of MY Bharat and emphasized the need for active engagement, participation and empowerment of the youth of North & Middle Andaman. He also referred to recent initiatives such as the Viksit Bharat – Vibrant Village Programme and opportunities for youth interaction with the Hon’ble Prime Minister, underscoring the significant role of young people in the nation-building process.
Thereafter, Mr. Deepak Kumar, Member Secretary, made a detailed presentation on various Government of India schemes and initiatives being implemented through MY Bharat. He elaborated on youth-related policies, the role of youth in development activities and the importance of providing young people with meaningful opportunities for participation.
He further highlighted the role of MY Bharat in channelizing the energy, talent, creativity and potential of young people towards constructive and nation-building activities, in line with the objectives of the National Youth Policy of the Government of India.
The meeting also served as an important platform for interaction and coordination among various line departments and stakeholders. Discussions emphasized the need for stronger inter-departmental cooperation, effective outreach and coordinated implementation of youth-oriented programmes and initiatives at the district level.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, District Magistrate, North & Middle Andaman, assured the full support and cooperation of the District Administration to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and MY Bharat in implementing various schemes and programmes for the benefit of the youth. He emphasized the importance of cordial coordination and regular collaboration with all line departments for effective outreach and successful implementation of youth-centric initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to further strengthen inter-departmental coordination, youth participation and implementation of Government of India initiatives, with the objective of promoting the overall development, empowerment and active participation of the youth of North & Middle Andaman in the nation-building process.
