Port Blair, Jun 21: Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President, BJP in his letter addressed to the Lt. Governor has requested him to release a handsome sum of money from the LG Relief Fund for Uttarakhand Government which is carrying out relief and rescue operations after the recent destructions in the state due to incessant monsoon rain.
Mr. Jolly supporting his demand has informed the Lt. Governor that many of the states have declared financial aid to Uttarakhand for carrying out rescue and relief operations and he added that the state BJP is concerned about the tragic incident which has taken several lives.
He further added that it will take a lot of time to rebuild the disaster hit zone and also mentioned that Andaman and Nicobar Islands had also received financial help from many states during the devastating tsunami.
He concluded his letter by earnestly requesting the Lt. Governor to release a handsome amount from the LG Relief Fund for Uttarakhand Government.
