Rangat, July 25: As part of the 77th Van Mahotsava, 2026, the Middle Andaman Forest Division organized a Mini Marathon under the theme “Plant Trees Save Earth” on 25th July, 2026, witnessing an overwhelming participation of around 350 people from all walks of life.
The Mini Marathon was flagged off from the Forest Check Post, Rangat by Mr. Vikas Yadav, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman. Participants included children (boys and girls), general category (male and female), and senior citizens, reflecting the community’s collective commitment towards protecting forests and preserving the environment.
On the occasion, Mr. Vikas Yadav, emphasized that such initiatives strengthen public awareness and inspire collective action towards conserving forests and creating a greener future.
The programme concluded with a pledge by the participants to plant more trees and protect the environment.
