Sri Vijaya Puram, July 21: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) will conduct the Under-13 Selection Trials during the second weekend of August 2026 to select players who will represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the 39th National Under-13 Open Chess Championship and the 39th National Under-13 Girls Chess Championship – 2026, scheduled to be held at Puducherry from 3rd to 9th September 2026.
The Selection Trials aim to select two players in the Open category and two players in the Girls category, who will represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands under the normal entry quota at the National Championship.
Players born on or after 1st January 2013 are eligible to participate in the Selection Trials. AICF registration for the year 2026-27 is mandatory for all participants.
The entry fee is Rs.300 per player.
Interested players are requested to register on or before 01st August 2026 (Saturday) by 06:00 PM at ANCA Office, Dairy Farm between 09.30AM to 06.00PM. The tentative date, venue and tournament schedule will be announced separately in due course.
