
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 18:The Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs, Government of India, Mr. Kiren Rijiju, will be on a three-day visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from June 19 to June 21, 2026. During his visit, the Minister will participate in various public outreach programmes, review developmental initiatives and attend the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island. In case of bad weather condition, the venue of main function will be shifted from NSCB Island to the auditorium of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School.
On arrival on June 19, the Minister will proceed to Beodnabad in the afternoon, where he will handover booklet highlighting the achievement of 12 years of the Modi Government under Special Public Outreach Campaign. The Minister will visit Padma Mr. Smt. K. Chellammal’s Organic Coconut Farm, Rangachang and plant a sapling under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
On June 20, the Minister will undertake a tour of key development projects carried out under the Government’s initiatives during the last 12 years under “Pragati Path Yatra”. The visit will cover Flag Point, Gandhi Park and the new terminal building of Veer Savarkar International Airport.
Later, Minister will attend the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan at Hotel Coral Cove, Minnie Bay. In the evening, the Minister will attend the Andaman Ideas Summit 2026 to be held at Hotel Lemon Tree.
On June 21, coinciding with the International Day of Yoga 2026, Minister, Mr. Kiren Rijiju will participate as the chief guest.
