Mayabunder, June 10: An important meeting of the District Committee of the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan (RGPRS), along with the Mayabunder Tehsil and Block Committees, was held at the Pokkadera Panchayat Community Hall under the chairmanship of RGPRS State President O. Basheer.
The meeting was attended by Block President Shyam Lal, Pradhan Archana Kumari, Pradhan Johnson, Pradhan Thomson, Committee Member Mary Klostica Kujur, former Pramukh Nachammal, Up-Pradhan Anand Raj, Sarpanch Subhash Thakur, Up-Sarpanch Vadivelu, and several other office-bearers and Congress supporters.
During the programme, committee office-bearers and members were felicitated with shawls and RGPRS stoles in recognition of their contributions. Detailed discussions were held on strengthening the organization, addressing public issues at the panchayat level, and further reinforcing the Congress Party at the grassroots.
On the occasion, appointment letters were handed over to Jayaseelan for the District Committee and Pradeep Bepari for the Block Committee. Addressing the gathering, State President O. Basheer urged both leaders to work closely with their respective committees to strengthen the Congress Party and expand the organization’s reach to every village.
Members present at the meeting shared their views and pledged to work with dedication and commitment for the growth of the Congress Party. Concluding the meeting, O. Basheer thanked all participants and assured full support and cooperation in strengthening both the party and the organization across the islands.
