
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 10: On the sacred occasion of the 126th Balidan Diwas of the legendary tribal freedom fighter, social reformer, and symbol of indigenous pride, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands paid humble homage and floral tributes at the statue of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda on 09th June located at the Ashram premises in Sri Vijaya Puram.
The tribute programme was attended by Mr. T. Sreehari, State Organising Secretary, and Mr. Sanjay Oraon, State Joint Organising Secretary of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Addressing the gathering, they urged the youth to imbibe the ideals of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who sacrificed his life at the young age of 25 years while fighting for the protection of Jal, Jungle, Zameen, Dharma, Culture, and National Identity.
They emphasized that Birsa Munda’s life was a shining example of courage, selfless service, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of tribal society. His struggle against injustice and exploitation continues to inspire millions across the nation.
As we remember this great son of Bharat, let us pledge to uphold the values he cherished and work towards a strong, united, and culturally vibrant nation.
