Sri Vijaya Puram, June 10: Mr. Poovarasan, the District Secretary of the Our Rights Organisation (N & Middle Andaman), has submitted a representation to the Chief General Manager, A&N Telecom Department, BSNL, seeking immediate intervention to improve and restore mobile network connectivity in Rest Camp village and the adjoining areas of North and Middle Andaman.
In the representation, Mr. Poovarasan highlighted that residents have been facing severe inconvenience due to weak and unreliable BSNL mobile signals. The poor network coverage has adversely affected daily communication, access to online services, and internet-based activities across the region.
Special concern was expressed for students, who rely heavily on stable internet connectivity for educational purposes, including online learning and academic resources. The ongoing network issues have also made it difficult for local residents to access essential digital services and remain connected during emergencies.
The organisation has requested the BSNL authorities to direct the concerned officials to conduct an immediate inspection of the affected areas and take necessary measures to strengthen and restore network services without delay.
Mr. Poovarasan expressed hope that BSNL would address the issue promptly in the interest of public welfare and ensure reliable connectivity for the people of Rest Camp village and surrounding areas of North and Middle Andaman.
