
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 19: The second day of the three-day Island Food Festival 2026 was marked by vibrant celebrations at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, as the festival continued to showcase the rich tapestry of Indian cuisines and cultures thriving in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, A&N Administration, the festival continued to draw enthusiastic participation from residents and visitors alike. Food stalls representing diverse regional cuisines remained a major attraction, while cultural performances added colour and energy to the evening.
The festival continued to serve as a platform to celebrate the Islands’ multicultural heritage while promoting tourism and fostering unity through food and culture.
A vibrant lineup of cultural performances was showcased on the second day of the Island Food Festival 2026 at ITF Ground, offering an evening of music, dance and entertainment to visitors. Students of TGCE, ANCOL and JNRM presented an engaging skit that drew warm appreciation from the gathering.
The programme commenced with a Thillana Fusion and Semi-Classical performance by Jhankaar Dance Group, followed by a performance by Gauri Shankar. BNA then took the stage. The cultural evening continued with performances by MJ Music Academy, followed by another presentation by BNA. The grand finale of the evening featured Melody Makers (Shailender Singh & Group).
The second day concluded on a high note with lively public participation and an enthusiastic response from visitors.
