Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 25: The Andaman & Nicobar College Games–2026 concluded with a grand Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony held at JNRM. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and sports lovers across the islands.
On this occasion, Dr. Sunil Jacob, Regional Director, IGNOU graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries present included Mr. Mohd. Jadwet, President, ANCA, Mr. Nalin Gulechha, Chairman, MGIS, and Dr. Pearl Dev Das, Principal, JNRM.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated all participants for their sportsmanship and emphasized the importance of sports in overall personality development. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Department of Physical Education & Sports, JNRM and the Andaman & Nicobar Olympic Association, whose support played a vital role in the smooth organization of the competition.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious Shaheed Capt. Ashim Bhattacharya Memorial Trophy, which was proudly won by JNRM for their outstanding overall performance.
The ceremony concluded with the formal declaration of the Games as closed, marking the end of a vibrant and competitive sporting event.
