Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 24: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sri Vijaya Puram unit, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Member of Parliament for strongly and effectively raising the long-pending demand for the establishment of a full-fledged Central University in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the Zero Hour in Parliament.
In a statement, ABVP appreciated the MP for voicing the concerns of students and opposing the alternative proposal of a deemed university, while firmly presenting the demand for a full Central University in line with the organization’s stand.
The Parishad lauded the MP for highlighting the educational expansion witnessed across other parts of the country between 2014 and 2021 and for advocating the rights and aspirations of students, parents, and teachers of the islands.
ABVP further stated that it will continue its democratic and peaceful efforts along with students until the demand for a “Full Central University, Not Deemed University” is fulfilled. The organization once again extended its sincere thanks for the initiative taken towards securing a better future for the youth of the islands.
