Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 24: Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), has welcomed the initiative taken to strengthen the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and urged the Administration to take prompt action in this regard. He expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for raising this crucial issue and also advocated for additional IT-related measures to further enhance the digital ecosystem in the region.
According to HRS, a reference in this regard has been received vide Letter No. 12/MP-ANI/2026/129 dated March 17, 2026, addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, by Member of Parliament, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray. In his communication, the MP highlighted the urgent need to strengthen IT infrastructure in the Islands.
He has specifically requested the filling up of six vacant posts in the Department of Information Technology, including one Deputy Manager (IT), two Senior IT Analysts and three IT Analysts. Further, he has emphasized the necessity of creating additional IT posts in key departments such as APWD, PAO, Panchayat and other allied departments to enhance digital governance and administrative efficiency.
The proposed measures are expected to improve public service delivery, ensure efficient governance and accelerate digital transformation in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
