Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 20: On 19.03.2026, Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Harinagar, called upon Dr. Sachi Shinde, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in the presence of the Er Prijith Rekh Chief Engineer, APWD, to deliberate upon several pending developmental issues concerning GP Harinagar. During the meeting, the Pradhan highlighted two major concerns of public importance: Construction of Rural Roads under SAGY:
Delay in initiation of the rural road from _Joshna Das’s residence to CM Adhikary’s house at Harinagar-5_ , which is pending at the tendering stage. The already completed road from ATR to Panchu Gopal Das was also discussed, with a request for further necessary execution to maximize public benefit.
Construction of Anganwadi Centre:
Establishment of an Anganwadi Centre at Pinakinagar, Ward No. 2 under SAGY, for which funds have already been sanctioned but work has not yet commenced. The Commissioner-cum-Secretary gave a patient hearing and directed the Chief Engineer, APWD, to expedite the tender process and initiate necessary action at the earliest, assuring that all required approvals will be facilitated on priority.
Apart from the above, other developmental issues of GP Harinagar were also discussed. Dr. Sachi Shinde assured full cooperation and support from the Administration towards the holistic development of the area. Gram Panchayat Harinagar remains committed to ensuring timely implementation of development works for the welfare of the public.
