Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 15: An educational initiative promoting Vedic Mathematics is being conducted during the Andaman & Nicobar Book Fair, which is being held from 14th to 22nd February 2026 at ITF Ground.
Dr. Yogesh Chandna, an author of multiple award-winning books on Vedic Mathematics and a Master Trainer with extensive experience across India and abroad, has set up a dedicated stall (Stall No. 16) at the venue to promote innovative mathematical learning techniques.
The initiative aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy, which emphasizes experiential learning, mental ability development, and innovative educational practices. Vedic Mathematics is known for making calculations faster, simpler, and more engaging for students.
During the Book Fair, the following activities are being conducted:
• Display of a wide range of Vedic Mathematics books for students, teachers, and parents
• Free Vedic Mathematics learning sessions for visitors throughout the fair
• Awareness sessions on how Vedic techniques improve calculation speed, confidence, and conceptual clarity
Recently, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also encouraged students to adopt innovative learning methods like Vedic Mathematics during Pariksha Pe Charcha, highlighting its growing relevance in the modern education system.
The initiative aims to benefit students of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands by providing direct exposure to effective mathematical techniques at no cost. Students, parents, and teachers visiting the Book Fair are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
