
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 15: The Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs has conducted a capacity-building training programme on ‘Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar’ (MGMD), an initiative of Ministry of Culture in collaboration of Ministry of Panchayati Raj, for Panchayat Secretaries & other functionaries of all Gram Panchayat of this UT.
The technical sessions were conducted by the State Level Master Trainers (SLMTs), sessions covered the objectives of the MGMD scheme roles and responsibilities of Panchayati Raj Institutions and provided hands-on guidance on the MGMD portal. Building upon the orientation of master trainers a Level-3 District Level Online Training Programme under Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar (MGMD) was successfully conducted for Panchayat Secretaries and other Panchayat Functionaries. The online training focused on documentation verification and digital entry of village-level heritage data enabling participants to effectively implement MGMD activities at the village level.
As part of this initiative a District Level training programme for District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) was conducted on Jan. 9 to equip with modalities and objectives of MGMD scheme.
Earlier, the programme commenced with a welcome address by Assistant Director (RD/P), who emphasized the crucial role of Panchayati Raj Institutions and field-level functionaries in ensuring accurate data collection verification and successful implementation of MGMD at the grassroots level.
