
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 23: Andaman Law College designated as a nodal institution to conduct Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament-2026. Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports reposing confidence on the abilities in conducting this program on a grand scale, Union Ministry through Mera Yuva Bharat entered a MoU with Andaman Law College, according to its Principal Prof. (Dr.) P.V.Nagendra Sarma.
In this programme three-minute elocution will be held at Andaman Law College on 20th November, 2025. Competition is open for all youth in the age of 18 to 25. They need to registered their name in https//:mybharat.gov.in portal and then apply for participation in Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, said the PVN Sarma in a press conference held at Law College here on Thursday. To assist the non-student youth in registration in portal a help-desk will be opened at the college he added.
Announcing the theme Joint Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Mr Sukharanjan Biswas, said it is “50 years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy”. Elocution will be held in English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu. Three minutes is the time limit for each participant. Among the participants the judges will select top 10 for state level rounds. In the state level rounds top three students will get a chance to represent A & N Islands at Delhi Youth Parliament 2026 he added. He appealed the youth to make this programme a grand success with their active participation. APA Mera Yuva Bharat Mr Gopal Biswas, NSS Programme Officer ALC Dr Rajiv Mondal also spoke.
