Port Blair, Apr 28: The first ever conference of INTUC was organised at Port Blair today at Dr BR Ambedkar Auditorium, which was attended by the workers of all trade unions affiliated to INTUC from Campbell Bay to Diglipur.
Addressing the conference, leaders like MZ Siddique, Hamid Ali, Usman, Gyan Prakash Krishna, Bopanna, Rasheed, Rafique, Abbobacker etc highlighted various issues of achievements and also placed demands to be solved for their respective Unions.
Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the President, praised the Lt Governor for having soft corner for workers and thinking positive for their welfare.
“Under the regime of the present Administrator more than 90% demands of the workers of various Trade unions of INTUC have been solved and remaining 10% will also be solved at an early date,” Kuldeep hoped.
Addressing the gathering, Kuldeep highlighted various achievements of INTUC and efforts made by the organization to solve problems of workers. MZ Siddique conducted the programme and also proposed vote of thanks.
