Port Blair, Apr 28: Jan Kranti Party, a new political party was launched yesterday in a simple function held at Hotel ACC, Mohanpura. The present members of the Party unanimously selected Mr. Prakash Minj as the president and Mr. Chattopadya as the Vice President of the party.
Amidst a thin crowd gathered there for supporting the launch of the party the auspicious oil lamp was lit and the banner of Jan Kranti was revealed which marked the launch of the new political party.
Mr. Prakash Minj in his first presidential speech has invited people in trouble to come to them and has assured that he will solve their problems as much as he can without taking a penny from them.
Mr. Chattopadya while addressing the gathering called the new political Party as Andaman and Nicobar’s own party. He also informed that the party is not communal or does not target a specific community but it is the party of people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He also invited suggestions from people so that they can constantly improve themselves and fight for the problems of the people.
Mr. J.N Vishwakarma was the chairperson on the launch meeting of the party and Mr. Vishwakarma appreciated the members of the party for starting this new political organisation and assured to be with them always.
Mr. Agapit Khujur, Ex- President, Ranchi Association in his speech said that “One Idea Can Change the World” and said that the idea of creating this new political organisation will definitely change the way of administration in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
