Sri Vijaya Puram, Sep 26: The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club, Sri Vijaya Puram, successfully organized a vibrant programme at CRC premises on Friday. The event brought together Divyang children, parents, CRC staff, and members of the Inner Wheel Club in a spirit of creativity and inclusion.
The programme featured diya colouring along with various art and craft activities, where children were encouraged and guided to explore their imagination and paint in colours of their choice. These activities not only enhanced their creative skills but also spread joy and confidence among the participants. The beautifully crafted items were later handed over to the children as tokens of their creativity.
The programme began with a warm welcome by Mrs. Sumitha Mol. S, Director, CRC A&N Islands, who expressed her gratitude to the Inner Wheel Club for joining hands with CRC. “When the community comes forward with such compassionate initiatives, it lights not only diyas but also the hearts of our Divyang children & their parents. Today’s program is a reminder that inclusion is about participation, creativity, and joy shared together,” she remarked.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Pallavi Gupta, President, Inner Wheel Club, Sri Vijaya Puram, said, “Every diya painted today is a symbol of hope, resilience, and the bright future of these children. Their smiles and enthusiasm inspire us to continue such meaningful collaborations, where togetherness creates true light.”
The event was also graced by Mrs. Ranjana Gulecha and Mrs. Vaishali Khurrana, who motivated the children and appreciated their creative expressions.
The initiative highlighted the importance of community collaboration in empowering Divyangjan, while spreading the message of compassion, inclusion, and creativity.
