Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 17:The “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” began at Little Andaman. The inaugural function held at Panchayat Samiti Bhavan, Hut Bay under the aegis of PHC Hutbay was graced by Shri S. Paramanathan, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti Little Andaman. The Divisional Forest Officer, Up-Pramukh, Pradhan Netaji Nagar were among others who graced the occasion. PRI representatives, Officers of Line Departments, and community leaders also attended the function.
The campaign will be conducted from Sept. 17 to Oct. 2 across Sub-Centres and PHCs in Little Andaman. As part of the event, Self-Help Group (SHG) members showcased various millet-based, moringa-based, and other healthy recipes dedicated to malnourished children and lactating mothers. The Anganwadi Workers added vibrancy to the programme through cultural performances including dance, songs, and short plays.
On the inaugural day, various Healthcare Screening activities were conducted by PHC Hut Bay. A large number of residents actively participated and availed the health services provided under the campaign.
