
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 07: Andaman Law College (ALC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airport Authority of India (AAI). AAI commenced ascheme titled ‘Pradeepthi”, offering internships to the students of various disciplines, including Law, with a tagline ‘Igniting Passion for Aviation.’
Dr. Nagendra Sarma, representing Andaman Law College as principal, and Mr. Girish Kumar, representing the Airport Authority of India, New Delhi, as General Manager (HR), signed the MoU. The MoU went into effect immediately, and it held good for a period of five years.
A six-member student team of final-year B.A.LL.B. completed its 15-day internship cycle with the local Veer Savarkar International Airport on 6th August 2025. They interned under the supervision of Airport Director Devender Yadav and HoD (HR) Md. Samtullah Ansari.
Albira Yasin, Aneez Akbar, Sumaan Quamar, Akshat Wadhwa, B. Swati, and Manish Priya did their internship as the first batch from Andaman Law College. The second batch of students, consisting of Haseeba Zoharai Khan, Mamtha K, Pooja Cheetri, and Satyajit Halder, will also do the internships.
Secretary (Education) Mr. L. Kumar and Director (Higher Education) Mr. Vikram Singh completed the internships initiative. Internship is mandatory as per BCI norms, and it will be implemented from this academic year onwards, said Dr. PVN Sarma, Principal of Andaman Law College.
