Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 03: On 2nd August, 2025, Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi released the 20th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme via live telecast from Varanasi, crediting ₹2,000 to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of over 9.7 crore eligible farmers across the country. To create awareness about role of farmers and farmwomen in agriculture and allied fields, ICAR-KVK North & Middle Andaman organised a live telecast of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Program at KVK, Nimbudera. The event was graced by Mr. R. Madhavan, Upādhyakṣa of the North & Middle Andaman Zilla Parishadin presence of Dr. V. Damodaran (Sr. Scientist & Head) along with other Subject matter specialists, Govt. officials and farming communities of N&M Andaman. The program was organized under the overall guidance of Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director of ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijayapuram. About 79 farmers and farmwomen from different villages of Basantipur, Hari Nagar, Swadesh Nagar and Amkunj participated in the event.
