Port Blair, Apr 1: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC in his letter addressed to the Director Shipping services has requested him to consider a ship for Vizag ex Port Blair in the 2nd week of April, 2013.
Mr. Sharma informed the Director that the summer vacation in Port Blair and other parts of A & N Islands, as per schedule, will commence from the 6th April, 2013. He said in his letter that the teachers, students and their parents of Telegu community always prefer to avail ship route to visit their home town at Andhra Pradesh through Vizag Port to meet their near and dear ones and also to finalize/complete their pending works etc at their hometown.
Most of the students and their parents belong to financially weaker section and cannot afford air journey.
Mr. Sharma has also requested him for timely sailing of ships for all the ports ex Port Blair to enable teachers, students and their family members to reach to their destinations in time.
