Adverse Weather May Disrupt Vessel Services in A&N Islands; Commuters Advised to Check Schedules

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 29 : The general public and tourists have been informed that due to prevailing adverse weather conditions and strong winds, the operation of vessels has become increasingly challenging and considered unsafe. In view of passenger and vessel safety, the Directorate of Shipping Services may be compelled to suspend or cancel Inter-Island and Foreshore Sector vessel services at short notice.
Similarly, the operation of Harbour & Vehicle Ferry Services between Chatham, Bambooflat, Dundas Point, Hopetown, Phoenix Bay, and other outstations may also face disruptions or suspensions without prior notice, depending on weather conditions.
