Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 06: Shri M. Venkatesan, Hon’ble Chairman, National Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment arrived on a 5 day visit to A&N Islands today. Soon after arrival, the Hon’ble Chairman held review meeting with the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, South Andaman and Secretary (Commissioner) for Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, CMO/Dean of District Hospital and their workers, District Labour Officer and Officers of ESIC and EPF Department as well as other concerned Senior Officers and all other Departments, individual Safai Karamcharis, their Association and Union Leaders in the Conference Hall of the District Office, South Andaman.
The meeting was also attended by owners and workers of agencies maintaining toilets, bio toilets, Govt. toilets, MRF Centres, Solid Waste Management, Sewer maintenance and Owners/Directors of outsourced/contractor agencies.
