Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 04: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, today flagged off the highly anticipated ‘Island Rumble Ride’, an event set to make its mark in the ‘World Book of Records’. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, the Director IP&T, Shri Azharuddin Zahiruddin Quazi, IAS, members of the Hoteliers Association, members of the ACCI were also present during the flag off ceremony held at the Flag Point here today. The Island Rumble Ride aspires to earn a spot in the World Book of Records, making it a historic event for motorcycling enthusiasts across the globe. This journey is not only about adventure but also about showcasing the stunning tourism potential of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In his brief address, the Chief Secretary, extended a warm welcome to all the bikers from Chennai & other parts of India to the pristine A&N Islands, which he said, is the most sought after tourist destination. The Chief Secretary said, the tranquility & natural beauty of the Islands attract tourists. The bikers will get a glimpse of Andaman, which is known for its enchanting beaches, rich flora & fauna and many more. He also appreciated the bikers’ participation & enthusiasm and their way to see the beauty of Andaman riding Harley-Davidson. The Chief Secretary said, events of such magnitude will put A&N Islands on World Tourism Map and hoped that this event will continue here in A&N Islands with bigger participation next year.
The Chief Secretary further said that this event will also inspire the bikers around the world to come and see A&N Islands. A&N Administration will provide all possible help for this event, so that the bikers enjoy the place and they will also inspire others to come and enjoy the place. Concluding his speech, the Chief Secretary extended his best wishes to the bikers for a joyful and safe ride.
The event saw the participation of 43 riders from across India, all geared up for a remarkable motorcycling journey through the scenic beauty of the Andaman Islands. Organized by Venus Motorcycle Tours, founded by Ajith Kumar, the event embodies a passion for motorcycling and adventure. Venus Motorcycle Tours has a rich history of organizing thrilling global rides across destinations like Scotland, Portugal, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Alps. With a focus on offering scenic routes and immersive cultural experiences, the company continues to bring together riders from around the world for unforgettable journeys.
Supported by the Harley-Davidson Marina Chapter (Chennai) and the Harley-Davidson Banjara Chapter (Hyderabad), the event was the largest Harley-Davidson gathering in Sri Vijaya Puram. The riders, during their stay here, will traverse iconic landscapes, blending the excitement of motorcycling with the rich culture and natural beauty of the region.
The Hoteliers Association of A&N Islands served as the hospitality partner for the event, ensuring that the participants experience the best of local culture and hospitality. TCI Seaways joined as the logistics partner, playing a vital role in coordinating the smooth transport of participants and equipment.
