Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 30: Botanical Survey of India, Shree Vijaya Puram organized Hindi fortnight from 14th to 29th September, 2024. Conducted various competitions viz essay writing, speech and as a part of Hindi Fortnight Regional Centre also organized Hindi workshop for office employees during celebration of valedictory function. Addressing the participants Addl. Director & Regional Head, Dr. Lal Ji Singh emphasized upon the importance of using Hindi works in the office as well as in day to day life and brief about Official Language Act 1963 and Article 3 (3) which promulgated implementation for the adoption of Hindi language as official language. Dr. Singh declared the results of competitions.
Dr. C. Sivaperuman, Officer In-charge, Zoological Survey of India was chief guest of the function. Dr. Sivaperuman emphasized upon the importance of Rajbhasha Hindi and role of Hindi in day to day office work.
Scientists/Officers and staff of BSI actively participated in the programme. Dr. Pankaj Arvind Dhole, Botanist & Hindi Officer, delivered the welcome address and brief about the programme to be conducted during Hindi fortnight. The programme was moderated by Mr. Prakash Horo, Junior Translation Officer.
