Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 30: 2nd October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji is observed as Swachh Bharat Diwas every year. Also this year, India is Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
As a befitting tribute to Father of the Nation – Mahatma Ganchiji on his jayanti and celebration 10th years of Swachh Bharat Mission, MY Bharat, an autonomous body under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is conducting Nation – wide Campaign “Swachh Bharat Mission- Naya Sankalp” with the theme of Swabhav Swachhata – Sanaskar Swachhata from 17th September to 2nd October, 2024 in a mission mode with the spirit of Jan Bhagidari se Jan Andolan.
Along with the Nation, Nehru Yuva Kendra Diglipur is organizing a Fortnight long Swachhata program in various places of Diglipur with the cooperation of Rama Krishna Youth Club, R.K. Gram, Rama Krishna Mahila Mondal- R.K. Gram, RainBow Sporting Club – Sitanagar, Shakti Bahini Mahila Mondal – Sitanagar, Durga Mahila Mondal- Madhupur, Kaberi Mahila Mondal – Desh Bandhu Gram, Vivekananda Youth Club – Durgapur, Sukhi Mahila Mondal- Khudirampur, Mahila Mondal- Naveen Nagar, Shakti Youth Club- Radhanagar and Netaji youth Club – V.S. Pally. Mega Cleanliness Campaign on 2nd October, 2024 will be organized at Durgapur Beach. In this Mega Cleanliness Campaign, nearly 200 participants (Male & Female) are expected to participate from various Youth Club, Mahila Mondal & SHGs. Assistant Commissioner, Pramukh, Panchayat Samity, Dy. S.P, DEO, BDO, CDPO of Diglipur, Pradhan G.P. Subhasgram and Pradhan G.P. Shibpur is expected to witness the mega event.
