The Atul Smriti Samity (Bengali Club) in Port Blair is set to host its grand Sharodotsob 2024, marking 80 years of celebrations. This year’s cultural festival promises to be a mega event, offering a vibrant lineup of daily programs from Mahalaya (October 2nd) to Maha Sashthi (October 9th) at 7 PM, featuring a rich variety of plays, music, dance, and food.
Festival Highlights:
• October 2nd: Opening play “Dashomohhabhuja” directed by Swapna Mondal.
• October 3rd: A delightful food festival, “Sharodyo Bhoj Utsab.”
• October 4th: The play “Agomoni Onushthan” will set the festive mood.
• October 5th: Double feature with the iconic “Gupi Gayen Bagha Bayen” and “Nrityabhinoy Sruon.”
• October 6th: Adventure-filled “Rongonatya – ‘Alibaba'” on stage.
• October 7th: Comedy night with “Drama Bhooter Mukhe Ram Naam.”
• October 8th: “Sharod Jalsa-A-Musical” promises an enchanting musical night.
• October 9th: Finale with the dramatic “Mayer Bodhon – ‘Jago Asurobinashini.'”
• October 12th: Dandiya dance at 7:30 PM, an energetic twist to the celebrations.
