Port Blair, Sept. 12:In terms of the provisions contained under Section 135C of the Representation of the People Act 1951, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District has ordered that the days i.e. 29/09/2024 (Date of Poll) and 01/10/2024 (Date of Counting) will be observed as ‘Dry Days’ in connection with the ensuing Bye-Election for the Gram Panchayat Ward Member Mannarghat-1 of Mannarghat Constituency under Ferrargunj Tehsil and Gram Panchayat Ward Member Ramakrishnapur of Ramakrishnapur Constituency under Little Andaman Tehsil.
No liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and establishments selling/serving liquor in entire area of Gram Panchayat Mannarghat and entire area of Gram Panchayat Ramakrishnapur shall be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever on the aforesaid day.
This order is applicable to IMFL vending licenses i.e. ANIIDCO, CSD Canteen, all Defence Canteen, Police Mess and all private bar licensees functioning at above mentioned Panchayat.
