Port Blair, Aug 27: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, has issued an urgent request to the Chief Engineer , APWD regarding the dire need for repair and maintenance of the road between Apollo Clinic and the Community Health Centre at Garacharma, Port Blair.
In a letter addressed, Mr. Halder highlighted the significant deterioration of the road over the past years, primarily due to the compromised drainage system in the area. The inadequate drainage has led to persistent waterlogging, causing extensive damage to the road surface which has made it increasingly difficult and unsafe for both vehicles and pedestrians to navigate, posing a serious risk of accidents.
Mr. Halder emphasized the critical importance of this road, given the high volume of traffic it handles daily. He stressed that these repairs would not only enhance the safety and accessibility of the area but also prevent further deterioration of the road infrastructure.
Mr. Halder further urged the authorities to respond promptly for bringing much-needed relief to the residents and daily commuters who rely on this crucial route.
