Port Blair, Mar 1: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, Project Coordination Committee of National Coop Union of India, A&N Branch attended the valedictory function of the Fifteen days Training on Handicraft from Coconut and Areca nut waste as Chief Guest. The valedictory function was held at ANSCU Hall, Teylorabad on 28th February 2013. Mr. Sharma while addressing the gathering appreciated the changing mentality of the rural women, who have also understood that they can also be self independent, earn their livelihood and help their family members.
Mr. Sharma had also praised the National Cooperative Union of India, Ministry of Agriculture which is working here in the field of promotion of income generating activities through SHG and cooperatives for imparting training to the rural women. Mr. Sharma had requested the gathering not to let their knowledge and training go waste rather they should opt for SHG and get very easy financial loan assistance from NABARD and ANS Coop Bank to start their own business to earn their livelihood.
Mr. Sharma had also informed that ANS Cooperative Union is imparting training on beautician, computer, fashion designing and tailoring courses at a very nominal fees, and anybody can get such trainings from the Union. He also thanked Mr. G Ananthakrishnan, DGM, NABARD, Mr. UA Raghavan, Manager NABARD, Dr. Nagesh Ram, Prog Coordinator, KVK, Mr. Johnson Abraham, I/C ANCON, Mr.Sunil Kumar KS, Handicraft promotion officer, Mr. K Kumarvel, Investigator and Mr. Surendra Nath Singh, Prog. Officer for rendering their most valuable guidance and help making the programme successful. The programme concluded by distribution of certificated to the trainees by the Chief Guest and other Dignitaries.
