Port Blair, May 15: Hope Foundation hosted a heartwarming celebration of Grandmother’s Day on May 14th from 3 to 7 pm at Maharashtra Mondal. Dr. Shiny Varghese, Chief Medical Officer and Principal of Nursing School, graced the event as the chief guest, while Mrs. Zareena Bibi, Child Development Project Officer (Urban Project), was honored as the guest of honor.
The event saw a delightful participation of 120 women and daughters, alongside members of the Hope Foundation. A special highlight of the day was the inaugural ramp walk by senior citizens, marking a historic moment for Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Daughters filled the atmosphere with joy as they sang and danced, paying homage to all mothers. Dr. Shiny George shared valuable health tips for mothers and daughters, emphasizing their well-being. Mrs. Zareena Bibi underscored the crucial role of mothers in families and society, urging children to cherish their bond with their mothers.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Hope Foundation bestowed awards for the Best Mother and Best Daughter, further adding to the spirit of love and gratitude permeating the event.
