Port Blair, Jan 28: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Pradesh Congress Committee President has written a letter to the Secretary Education and the Director of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Administration and urged them not to cancel Saraswati Puja Holiday.
In his letter he said that Sarawasti Puja is one of the main celebrations of all the schools, when children worship goddess Sarawati and offer their prayers. “One this day the Bengali community don’t even open books,” he said in his letter.
He urged the Secretary and Director of Education not to compel students to attend classes by cancelling the Saraswati Puja Holiday.
