Port Blair, Oct 22: North & Middle Andaman District is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the communities. In recent operations, the Police Stations of Mayabunder and Diglipur have taken significant steps to combat illegal activities in their respective jurisdictions.
The dedicated team of PS Mayabunder team led by Insp. Gracefield executed a raid in Tugapur, successfully seized 15 Kg of illicit Handia and another team conducted jungle search in Chainpur area and resultant destroyed about 200 ltrs of Lehan. Later, in another raid, the team seized 14 bottles of IMFL.
In another proactive move, PS Diglipur team led by ASI D.K Singh conducted a raid in its jurisdiction, leading to the seizure of 70Kg of illicit Handia and 03 bottles of IMFL.
The accused persons were arrested and cases were registered under relevant sections of law. The North & Middle Andaman District Police sends a clear message that the production and distribution of any kind of drugs will not be tolerated in our community.
The entire operations were conducted under the leaderships of concerned SHOs, vigilant supervision of Mr. Brij Mohan Meena, DANIPS, SDPO Diglipur and the overall direction and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
