Mayabunder, Oct 16: Concerns have been raised about the deteriorating condition of the Mayabunder district road, especially the stretch from Lucknow to Mayabunder. Large potholes, posing a significant threat to vehicular safety, have appeared along this segment.
The Mayabunder district road falls under the jurisdiction of NACD, APWD, and they are responsible for its upkeep and maintenance. Given the impending festive season, with Dussehra, Navratri, Diwali, Christmas, and New Year around the corner, the need for repairs is becoming more pressing. Residents and festival-goers are eager to ensure a smooth commute during this busy period.
Mr. Abdul Siddique, the former Pramukh of Mayabunder, has formally appealed to the Executive Engineer of NACD, APWD in Mayabunder. He emphasized the urgency, stating that these road conditions might lead to potential mishaps if not addressed immediately. With the festive season attracting both local residents and tourists, including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and pedestrian devotees, the demand for a motorable road is paramount.
Mr. Siddique requested to repair the road from Panghat Tri Junction to Mayabunder, ensuring safety and convenience for all during this festive season. The community now eagerly awaits a swift response and prompt action from the NACD, APWD department.
