Diglipur, Jan 15: As part of the Diglipur Vikas Mela 2013 a Power Tiller Rally, said to be first of its kind in the world, was flagged off by the Asst. Commissioner of Diglipur Dr. Vivek Kumar.
Recalling the contributions of former Prime Minister Chowdhary Charan Singh’s, the Assistant Commissioner said that, he worked hard to ensure basic facilities at the villages for the uplift of the farmers’ welfare. He said that ‘the state can never develop without the uplift of the farmers and lauded the encouragement of the Agriculture for the encouragement of the farmers.
The main objective of this rally is to motivate & encourage the youth to adopt agriculture as a noble & remunerative profession. The best maintained power tiller will be awarded at Diglipur Vikas Mela.
