Port Blair, Aug 25: Mr. Praveen Ramdas, National Secretary, Director, Vibha Vani, New Delhi while addressing the students of DBRAIT on the subject “Indian Knowledge System” emphasized that there should be a clear mapping of the traditional subjects in Indian Knowledge System with the modern subjects such as chemistry, mathematics, physics, agriculture, etc. Addressing on the Well-being he emphasized in the traditional Indian medical system known as Ayurveda. In moment’s world where life- related conditions are on the rise, it advocates for natural mending ways, personalized curatives, and a focus on forestallments and conservation of health.
He encouraged the students by mentioning the names of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose, Dr. Prafulla Chandra Ray and Dr. C.V. Raman who has contributed immensely in the field of science and Technology. He also focused on the Chandrayaan 3 which was the first lunar probe under the Chandrayaan program, possible only through the great effort of scientists of ISRO.
In his conclusion address he mentioned that the Indian knowledge system is still applicable in today’s scenario, which gives practical suggestions for dealing with issues similar like stress management, sustainability etc. Science students should educate themselves as it offers a vast body of knowledge that may be used to advance people, communities, and humanity as a whole.
