Port Blair, Aug 16: On the joyous occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, a flag hoisting a ceremony was held at Haddo this morning.
Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC unfurled the National Flag in the presence of all Ward residents and the gathering sang the National Anthem.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Jayakumar Nair, Ex-Chairperson, PBMC and Mr. Eswar Rao, Congress leader.
It was a great occasion as many people especially childrens participated in the programme even in the middle of the rain and enjoyed the celebration. Later, sweets were also distributed by Mr. TSG Bhasker to all.
