Port Blair, Jan 11: The PCC President, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and other senior leaders lead a Rally of National Students Union of India from Swamy Vivekananda’s statue to Tiranga Park as a mark of respect to this great Indian monk in connection to his 150thbirthday toady.
In the morning at 8 am, the leaders of Congress Party and the students paid floral tribute to the statue of Swamy Vivekananda.
Reaching at Tiranga Park, the participants of the rally prepared themselves for blood donation, duly arranged by the GB Pant Hospital under the supervision of Dr Navin, Dy. Director, on the request of NSUI President.
Mr. Sharma told the students that Swamy ji had always given full respect to youth force, which can bring developments and prospects for their Country and time has come when the youth force should be united for good and conquer over evils.
“By donating our blood, we help someone to get a new life so we should not hesitate for such donation as per the advice of the doctor.” Mr. Sharma said.
“We should always keep in our mind that by helping selflessly to others, we are not helping the concerned person, but helping ourselves.” Mr. Sharma added.
