Port Blair, Aug 06: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration in coordination with National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), MHA, GoI, New Delhi organized a training programme on Incident Response System (IRS) for the Incident Response Teams of Islands at DBRAIT auditorium here yesterday. On the concluding day of the training prog., the Director Disaster Management, Mr. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the Director informed that IRS training is organized for the IRTs for better management of disasters. He said similar trainings will be organized in different locations covering the other two Districts in Isles. The Director urged the IRTs to intimate the Department about their requirements so that essential items can be procured and distributed to them at the earliest. Initiating the training programme, Mr. Shekher Chaturvedi from NIDM informed about the objective of the training on IRS which is being organized all over India.
