Diglipur, June 25: As a part of Prime Minister Surakshit Matriva Abhiyan, a Maternal Health Camp was conducted at CHC, Diglipur by Directorate of Health Services in close coordination with Arun’s Fertility And IVF Centre, Port Blair on 24th June 2023.
According to information, during the camp, an expert team led by Dr. Arun Kumar Unnitan, a renowned Gynaecologist, Dr. Alvensia Vaz, Gynaecologist, Dr. Bibhas Halder, Anesthetist and Mrs. Surya Kanta Prasad, an Embryologist of the pvt. hospital provided free consultation including free ultrasonography.
Altogether 85 women got benefitted, 79 USG were done of which 47 antenatal mothers were screened for high risk pregnancy while 13 infertile couples were also examined and treated.
General public reportedly appreciated the efforts taken by the Directorate of Health Services and expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Arun Kumar for providing the beneficial consultation, the source said.
