Port Blair, June 21: Congress leaders of Car Nicobar led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and Chairman, Adivasi Congress Mr. Sebastian Tirkey offered their respect and paid homage to the First Member of Parliament, A&N Islands Late. Bishop John Richardson at his memorial in Car Nicobar.
Congress leaders remembered the lifelong dedication and service rendered by Bishop. John Richardson to the Islands. They also emphasized his tireless struggle for the empowerment of tribal’s and role in mobilizing and uniting tribals.
The Congress leaders laid wreaths at the memorial and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed leader. Later, they visited and prayed at the Mus Church along with tribal leaders.
