Port Blair, June 19:The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying ,GoI, Dr. L Murugan will be arriving here tomorrow (June 20) on visit to A&N Islands. Soon after arrival, the Minister will visit various developmental works/infrastructure projects viz. upgradation of Garacharma PHC to District Hospital and newly constructed bridge at Sippighat in NH-4, South Andaman. He will also attends local programmes in South Andaman.
Hon’ble Minister will participate in International Day of Yoga-2023 to be organized by A&N Administration at Girls Sr. Sec. School Auditorium on June 21 at 6.15 am. Thereafter, he will hold meeting with businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs at Kerala Samajam Hall, Port Blair.
On the same day, in the afternoon, the Minister will proceed to Swaraj Dweep. During the visit, he will visit the Fish Landing Centre and interact with fishermen. He will also interact with general public/Govt. Scheme beneficiaries at Shyam Nagar Marriage Community hall, Swaraj Dweep besides attending local programmes.
On June 22, the Minister will return to Port Blair and attend local programmes to be held at Hotel Shompen, Bengali Club and NABARD Colony. He will also visit the construction site of the New Terminal building at Veer Savarkar International Airport. Hon’ble Minister will also attend local programmes at Ward No. 16, Hotel Delicia, Junglighat and Tiranga Park.
