Port Blair, March 10: In a successful joint operation, the Andaman and Nicobar Police, Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBN), and army jawans have arrested two Myanmarese poachers from the Narcondam Islands. According to sources, an Andaman and Nicobar Police guard spotted a Burmese dinghy near the Narcondam Islands, which led to the joint search operation.
The poachers attempted to flee into the jungle after grounding their dinghy, but were eventually apprehended with the help of intelligence gathered by the jawans. The search operation was conducted with great precision and efforts, leading to the successful arrest of the poachers.
The arrested poachers have been brought to Port Blair today, March 10, 2023, and handed over to the CCS Police. Further details on the investigation are awaited as the search operation continues in the Narcondam Islands.
