Port Blair, Feb 26: Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh with its all affiliated associations conducted Kamgaar Baachao Andolan on 25th Feb. 2023 at 4.00 pm as public meeting by presenting all issues of working class before the society as well as Administration.
The Andolan was attended by the working class from different departments and organizations extending their support towards the activities of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh. The programme started by paying floral tribute to Maa Bharati and Poojniya Dattopant Thengadi, founder of BMS.
The meeting started with the address of Mr. Rajesh, Secretary, APWD Karmachari Sangh about the issues of APWD DRMs. Mr. Subramanian, Joint Secretary, Nagar Palika Swacchtha Karmachair Sangh presented the issues of Sanitary workers of PBMC, Mr. Laxman, President of APWD Karmachari Sangh has reiterated the issues of Bonus and getting the full payment in the month of 28 which was deducted by few Divisions as the month of February is of 28 days. Mrs. Shikha Biswas, Secretary, DBRAIT Karmachari Sangh presented the issues of DBRAIT, Mr. Anup Kumar Dutta, State Committee Member, BMS addressed the gathering and appealed to the Lt. Governor to resolve the issues of DRMs / Contract / Outsourcing employees. Mr. Vijay Nair, Executive Member, ANRKM presented the issues of various working classes, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Vice President, presented the issues of the working class of PBMC and other departments working on temporary service to regularize it. Mr. G. Anoop, Organizing Secretary, ANRKM presented appealed not to get cheated by the other organizations in the name of Labour union and were lured by granting 1/30th whereas no money has been received by the working class, hence ANRKM will take up the matter from this day and declared that will work for getting the 1/30th status at the earliest to all DRMs. Mr. M. Veeranna, State President, BMS, also addressed the gathering. Mr. S. Biju Pillai, General Secretary, ANRKM presented all the issues about the issues of permanent employees, equal pay for all employees of the same and nature of work appointed in Administration, improving payment of NHM employees and service security as per the terms and conditions of the scheme may be granted at par with other States and UTs. Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, President, ANRKM declared that within one month if issues were not resolved of DRMs of APWD and PBMC and contract employees, the protest mode will be strengthened and it may hamper the service delivery to the society for which the Administration will be responsible. Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, President, ANRKM, Mr. M. Veeranna, President, BMS and Mr. S. Biju Pillai, General Secretary, ANRKM unveiled the QR Code for applying membership of ANRKMs affiliated associations by way of scanning from the mobile and filing the details of 8 columns. and expressed gratitude to all affiliated associations, media and Police personnel’s for extending all cooperation for the successful conduct of the Kamgar Bachao Andolan.
