Port Blair, Feb 13: Bambooflat, Andaman & Nicobar Islands – Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi,Zilla Parishad Member of Bambooflat, along with Mrs. Rasheeda Bibi,Pradhan of Hopetown, called on Mr. Kesav Chandra IAS, Chief Secretary ofthe Andaman & Nicobar Administration, to discuss various development issuesin the area.
During the meeting, the representatives highlighted the need for expeditingthe beautification of Bambooflat to Hopetown jetty, restoring direct powersupply after the installation of a 5MW DG set at Bambooflat, constructionof the Bambooflat-Chatham Bridge, upgrading the CHC in Bambooflat anddeputing specialist doctors, and opening an Ayurveda center. They alsoproposed the development of an amusement park at Shorepoint.
The Chief Secretary listened attentively to their concerns and assured therepresentatives that necessary actions will be taken at the earliest. Thismeeting marks a significant step in the development of the Bambooflat area,and the administration’s commitment to addressing the needs of the localcommunity.
