Port Blair, Jan 20: A dead body was found near PHC Dilanipur this morning. As per reports the person has been identified as Mr. Saroj Singh, 53 years old, a resident of Dilanipur area and a permanent resident of Kolkata.
Sources said that the deceased came to Port Blair several years ago and was doing some private job. As per people the deceased used to stay near Old CCS building and was a habitual drinker and in the last couple of days he was going through some health issues also.
This morning local people found him lying unconscious near PHC Dilanipur after which they informed this matter to the police. Later the Police team of PS Chatham recovered the body and shifted the body to hospital.
