Mr. Rasheed appraised minister about the concerns of health sector inA&N Islands,non-availability of Oncologist in the one and only referral GB PantHospital,Non availability of Cardiologist and Cath lab is non-operational. Includinghigh airfares to transfer stretcher patients referred to mainland,none functioning of Orthopedic OT, shortage of qualified specialists andStaffand introduction of PG courses in ANIIMS.
The Minister gave a patient hearing and praised him for hisselfless service during COVID times. She directed the concerned authoritiesto address the issues raised by Mr. Rasheed. Ration Rasheed foundation hasexpressed gratitude to minister for considering the genuine demandsof healthcare facilities in these remote islands.
