Port Blair, Dec 30: NGO (WITH YOU) identified an elderly woman, Mrs.Parvatiamma at Haddo. Shedoesn’t have a home to stay and she begs for food to survive. She hasnobody else to turn to. So, the President WITH YOU requested the DirectorSocial welfare to provide an accommodation for her in the old age home for womenat Attampahad. Responding to the request made by the NGO, the Department askedthe NGO to shift the lady to the old age Home. Ms V.K. Mariyam Bibi President along withmembers of WITH YOU (NGO) after informing the police shifted the lady tothe old age Home and also provided some items of her basic needs. Ms Mariyam Bibihas expressed her gratitude towards the Social Welfare Department forproviding a shelter to the lady in the Home.
